This is not a qualification or a shortcut into the industry. It is a starting point, a creative immersion, and a space to understand the craft with more confidence, respect, and awareness.

The Tattoo Atelier Intensive
An immersive 8-day introduction to tattooing for people who are serious about exploring a career in the industry. This is more than learning how to use a tattoo machine. Led by Dionne alongside the Tattoo Atelier team and guest mentors, the intensive is designed to give you a strong, realistic foundation for building a sustainable career in tattooing. Across eight days in Bali, you'll learn the tattoo process from the ground up: hygiene and safety, equipment and machine setup, drawing for tattooing, stencil preparation and placement, linework, shading, fake-skin practice, client experience, studio etiquette, social media, portfolio building and the business side of becoming an artist. You'll learn alongside a small group, meet working artists, build industry connections and experience what life around a creative tattoo community can actually look like.

1 Week – 3 Months
Have a little more time to spend in Bali? Build a custom apprenticeship programme around you, your experience and where you want tattooing to take you. Spend time working closely alongside one of our artists, developing your skills through hands-on learning, practice, observation and ongoing mentorship. Whether you're starting completely from scratch or already have some experience, we'll create a programme around the areas you actually need to work on; from hygiene, equipment and tattoo fundamentals to drawing, stencilling, fake skin, technique, client experience and understanding life inside a working tattoo studio. Programmes can range from one week to two weeks, one month or up to three months, giving you the time and space to properly immerse yourself in the craft while living and learning in Bali.

What experience level is required?
Our Beginner course requires zero prior experience, while advanced modules are tailored for professional artists looking to refine specific techniques.
Is accommodation included?
We partner with boutique villas near the Tattoo Atelier to offer curated stay options. These can be added to your course package.
What is the pricing and duration?
Courses range from 1:1 one day intensives to 8 day courses. Pricing is discussed during the portfolio review stage to ensure a fit for your objectives.
Will I receive a certification?
Yes, all successful graduates receive a Tattoo Atelier certification and a professional portfolio showcasing their work on real skin.
